Varieties of strawberry used: Am13, All Star or other varieties as per buyers' request

Material: Fresh strawberry of 2009 crop

Size of fruit: "run of crop" typically 10-40mm, sliced 10mm thick

Brix: 24 degree with 2 degree more or less for 4+1 frozen strawberry whole/sliced/diced

Added sugar: 1 part of sugar to be added to 4 parts of strawberry

Production season: April to June of each year

Shelf life: 12 months stored frozen -18 degree centigrade

Container loading: Net weight 26mt

Processing:

Fruit must be firstly inspected over a table or conveyor prior to packing where all calyx leaves, diseased or mouldy fruit, plus other extraneous materials are to be removed. The fruit should be kept as cool as possible once picked, washed with portable water and sliced with a 10mm cutting knife. The wholes/slices/dices shall then be packed with sugar distributed evenly throughout (4 parts strawberry plus 1 part sugar by weight). The fruit must be then frozen to -18 degree centigrade within 24 hours. All fruit must be maintained at this temperature until delivered to buyers' cold store.
